An initial stage of this workshop, I created a character on Adobe Illustrator using basic shapes and colours.

I then opened this Illustrator document within Adobe After Effects and linked each component to the part of the body I intended it to follow when animated. This would make it easier when I am trying to make the character move, with no disorientation.
To animate my character, I used the transitional effects presented within the screen capture above to inflict basic movement upon my animal, such as to make the tail wag. I then repeated this inventively with other aspects within my image, bringing the character to life.
Further into the editorial process, I decided to replicate my character and scale it significantly smaller to suggest the concept of puppies in a basic animatic format.
Presented below is the outcome of this animation workshop.
