A.I. BREAKTHROUGH! Submerged in Porsche for 20 HOURS during Huddersfield’s case RED lockdown
– K9 saves the day!
A MOTORIST, named Alexander Loxley, waited over 20 hours to be rescued from his Porsche after being submerged in the River Colne, Huddersfield.
Alexander’s motor failed to withstand the harsh, gustily winds of the Huddersfield case RED blizzard blitz, where he was blown from Manchester road, upside down into the open water. Shocked and terrified, Loxley desperately tried to escape. His efforts were no match against the waters flow. Fear and dread truly settled in for Loxley when he realised he had left his phone at the office. With no way of calling for help or getting anyone’s attention; he was terrified.
Huddersfield’s severe weather catastrophe showed no signs of letting up – with the whole city under severe lockdown, and with forecasts predicted to worsen, Loxley’s survival chances were shredding drastically with every second that passed.
A hopeless waiting game – Loxley sat tight for 20 hours praying for the unlikely miracle that someone, somehow, somewhere would spot him. We calculated that based on Loxley’s position, his chances were just short of 0.8 million to 1. “I didn’t know what to think. Or do. I just sat, refusing to believe it, really. My horn wasn’t working, my car was slowly filling of water, and ice was forming on the inside of my car. I knew my chances. All I could think about was my wife and kids, and how I was glad they were somewhere safe. It kept me going, somehow.” He told us.
On the 22nd November 18 at 3:41 pm, PC Dapwood received an anonymous 999 phone call reporting of a man stranded in an upturned vehicle in the river. Dapwood later reveals that due to the suspicious nature of the call was he wasn’t sure if it was a hoax! Despite this, Dapwood knew of the potential real threat posed on the individual, and therefore knew he had to act fast.
Dapwood’s team began urgently trying to locate the man. Their systems were in a blackout zone, with all four generators failing, unable to withstand or hold sufficient power output. A critical situation, Dapwood tried desperately to formulate another plan, to find another way of gaining access to the servers; despite his efforts, all attempts were unsuccessful.
In a statement published for the BBC, Dapwood reveals how Huddersfield’s extreme winter blitz pushed the police force beyond any limits they’ve had set in the past. Explaining, “We hate to admit we sent out a top secret, multi-million pounds worth of untested experiment. We do not like taking risks. It was really the last resort. We were out of options. Completely.”
Released by the official police team, a similar statement echoes that of PC Dapwood’s. “We would like to sincerely apologise for the risks taken in the events of last night. We had four backups… all of which failed. Our systems, radars, cameras, audio communications, all of it, we lost. Like, gone, nothing. Totally unresponsive. We had nothing. We couldn’t even get through to another centre. We really do count our blessings that project K9 was a success and hope you will all be understanding of the circumstance.”
Despite these statements, Mr. Loxley explains that he is just “thankful to be alive”, later crediting and thanking the police force for saving his life. When Loxley was asked what he thought of their new technological investment, K9, the businessman told us it was “brave. A very brave experiment that went unpredictably right.” He added “If it wasn’t for the fact project K9 saved my life… I’d probably feel uneasy about using robots… but I probably wouldn’t be alive today if it wasn’t for K9, and for that I am forever thankful.”
Project K9 is a form of Artificial Intelligence, crafted by a group of designers and engineers working closely with the police force. The K9 is a design prospect made up of very advanced aspects, designed specifically with the intent of carrying out some of the hardest rescue missions, unachievable by man alone. It withholds tools advanced enough to cut through the hardest materials on Earth, including diamond. It is strong, durable, intelligent, small and fast. K9’s eyes have in-built cameras which work on heat, movement, and pulse. K9 can locate you, and tell if you are hurt of injured within an instance, knowing straight away how to help. K9 is also familiar with threats and dangers, triggered by a similar stimulation comparable to that of which we would experience in an instance of extreme fear. The K9 is expected to successfully save millions of lives throughout its development.
“It was weird. I was confused. I didn’t know how long I was waiting. I didn’t know if I was hallucinating at that point… I saw this robot dog running towards my car… my initial thought was that robots or aliens had taken over or something!” Says Mr. Loxley. “But, honestly, I am so blessed. I can’t believe I’m even alive! Better yet- here to tell such a story.”
Following this successful rescue, it was more recently discovered that the anonymous 999 call was made from the location of a small convenience store, opposite from the lake. It is believed a small team of residents have been seeking shelter nearby and desperately needed resources. It is still unknown why the caller protected his identity in such a way, now assumed to be completely unrelated to the case. Mr. Loxley wishes to thank these people for ringing 999, and for ultimately saving his life.
Police desperately urge people to be careful in such adverse weather conditions, taking precautions with travel and necessities. “Such incidents like this could be easily avoided if people took our emergency warnings more seriously. We are continuing to monitor patterns in wind speeds, precipitation and ground saturation to ensure public safety. An amber risk of flooding has recently been issued due to the excessive precipitation caused by the blizzard. Additionally, temperatures are expected to stabilise at -1 degrees within the next few days, which, causing major geographical concern with the rapid expansion of form. Manchester road will remain closed until further notice as ongoing safety checks are carried out and verified.
The rescue of Alexander Loxley, on November 22nd 2018 marks a revolutionary advancement in the new and upcoming world of technology and artificial intelligence, providing insight into just a few of the capabilities of such intricate design. A major landmark in the timeline – designers, engineers and scientists are excited beyond expression with the rescue success. K9 is rumoured to be undergoing hundreds of tests for safety checks. Providing this goes to plan, the production of our new robot friend is expected to rocket! Making these available for police, lifeguards, supervisors of extreme sports, and military. However, K9 has been restricted under a critical UK law to be only used for rescue. He will not have authorisation to evoke harm on people or animals, or used for any hunting nature.
Providing these advancements go to plan, it is believed that such machines are going to begin emerging in hospitals within the next five years, formulated specifically to assist surgeons and doctors. Project K9 has brought about a successful realisation and confidence surrounding the advancements of A.I; inspiring tomorrow’s designers about the possibilities of a more unnatural, physically enriched medium. November 22nd 2018 marks the date of global change.
