Photography, typography and graphic design entail for expression of personal values, due to their expressive nature. For this task, I intended to correlate imagery with text to incite an overview of my personal nature, and my key values signifying character. I enjoy experimenting with expressionism, distortion, altered perceptions, and have a great fascination with rural vs urban conflicts. Nature is important to me, hence why I captured this initial shoot within a woodland region.

In addition to this, I love the effect of layering, portraying a second sense of reality with added depth. This is symbolic of the idea that alternating content seen amongst foreground and background always interact in some way. Drawing connections between environment and nature, I intended to captivate the essence of being rooted.
